TR To PR – Canada Immigration To Reveal New Details About The Program

Short for the temporary residents to permanent residents (TR To PR), this program first introduced in 2021 is a way for Canada to keep temporary   workers   already in Canada and give them access to permanent residency. Recently, the Canadian immigration minister Mr. Sean Fraser announced the government’s engagement in continuing this program to help create faster pathways to the  permanent residents  for temporary workers. Further details about the program will be given on September 2020. A recap of TR to PR in 2021 On April 2021, IRCC announced the temporary resident to permanent resident pathway (TR to PR pathway). With a cut-off score (CRS) of 557, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) invited 1,500   Express Entry   candidates to apply for permanent residence on July 6th, 2022. This is big news for skilled workers overseas who have been waiting for this news since December 2020, which is the last date an Express Entry draw was done.   Express Entry Proof Of Funds Changes In 2022 Recently, Immigration Canada announced the increase of their settlement fund for  Express Entry  in 2022. This news has come in preparation for the new Express Entry draws being reinstated in July. These changes only apply to the  Federal skilled worker (FSW)  candidates and  Federal skilled trade  candidates. If you are part of the Canadian Experience Class, these changes don’t apply to you. Since its kick-off in 2015, the Canadian  Express Entry  system has been verified to be a reliable and outstanding process for enlisting immigrants. However, from December 2021 to February 2022, it looked like it was impossible to have new individuals relocate and gain  Permanent Residence . According to the data purged by the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), the Express Entry Backlog stood at 119,389 applicants waiting to get evaluated as of December but fell drastically by 23,748 at the end of February.
